What is a CSA?

CSA stands for community supported agriculture. It’s a commitment you make to your local farm to receive fresh, seasonal produce directly from them and in return, your farmer is committing to you by guaranteeing you receive the freshest, most delicious vegetables from them for the entirety of the season you sign up for. By becoming a member, you are investing in supporting your local small farmer and receiving amazing in-season produce in return! It’s a win-win! This is the perfect opportunity to explore what eating in-season looks like and may even challenge you to cook things you may not normally find at the grocery store or put in your cart. We love growing varieties that are hard to find or different from the norm. Believe us when we say we get giddy when it’s time to put together your veggie bag!

How much is it and what comes in my bag?

It costs $28 per bag. You have the option to pay monthly, weekly or for the entire season up front. Each bag you receive will include 5-7 different veggies directly from our farm and will be at least a $28 value. Spring veggies include items like root vegetables (carrots, beets, radishes), leafy greens (spinach, salad mix, kale) and brassicas (cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli) among many, many more! We also are hoping to include some Summer veggies at the end of the season like peppers and tomatoes.

Where do I pick it up?

We offer 4 convenient pick up locations. Thursdays we have 2 pick up spots; one in South Austin at The Little Darlin’ (located near the intersection or Congress & William Cannon), and one in Lockhart at our farm (located about 10 minutes/7 miles from the square). Our Saturday pick up location is in South Austin at the Barton Creek Farmers Market from 9am-1p & Sunday at the Buda Farmers Market from10am-2pm.

Your share will come in a brown paper bag. If your paper bag is still in good condition after you empty your contents, we would love to recycle it. Just bring it back with you next time you pick up.

*Please note that if you are unable to make it to your scheduled pick up, we encourage you to send a friend, family member or neighbor to come pick it up for you. You are responsible for pick up and any bags not collected at the scheduled time will be donated. We appreciate your cooperation!

How do I sign up?

It’s super easy! Simply click the link here and choose which subscription suits your needs best. We offer a weekly (12 weeks) and a bi-weekly (6 weeks) option. Once you select which option you’d like, you then will choose with location you’d like to pick up from. At check out, you will have an option to pay per delivery, monthly or for the whole season upfront; whichever is easiest for you and your budget. Our weekly memberships are given 1 vacation week that they may use if necessary. This gives you the option to skip a week if you are leaving town or cannot take a bag for a week for any reason. Please note that bi-weekly memberships are not given any vacation weeks.

A note from your farmers…

We are so appreciative of you and our entire community that have kept us in business! We would not be able to continue doing this if it wasn’t for your support. Seriously! We have the best, most amazing customers and we want you to know that we are forever grateful for each and every one of you. We carefully pack each CSA bag with care, love and lots of thought. We always guarantee that you are receiving a $28 (and a lot of times, greater) value in your bag from us. It is just the two of us doing everything, so we ask that if there are any issues, please let us know and please be patient with us. We are two humans that are extremely passionate about what we do. :)

With love and gratitude,

Your Farmers, Brooke & Killian
